Impact of our Research
This body of work demonstrates the Centre’s leadership in stem cell research, integrating stem cell biology, scaffold fabrication, molecular diagnostics, and translational medicine. The studies on liver and pancreatic constructs offer viable alternatives to organ transplantation, while neurological and spinal research supports neuroregenerative therapies. Mesenchymal and dental stem cell studies enhance tissue repair strategies, and molecular insights enable non-invasive diagnostics and personalized interventions. Together, these contributions position the Centre at the forefront of next-generation regenerative medicine and precision healthcare.
Hepatic and Pancreatic Regeneration
Research in this category focuses on developing humanized liver grafts and insulin-producing neo-organs using stem cells and decellularized scaffolds. These innovations offer promising alternatives to traditional organ transplantation and support regenerative therapies for liver failure and diabetes.
